I shoot weddings in New York City with a documentary eye and a quiet, present approach. Most of my work happens outdoors, in the places New Yorkers actually love: the Bow Bridge in Central Park at the edge of afternoon light, the river walk at Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the cobblestones under the Manhattan Bridge in DUMBO. I work with a small kit, no big crew, no posed shot list. My goal is for you to forget I am there for the parts that matter, and for the photographs to feel like the day actually felt. I live in Brooklyn and I keep my calendar light on purpose.

I photograph weddings in New York City, mostly on foot and mostly in the places where the city shows off: Bow Bridge when the light comes through the trees, the cobblestones around DUMBO when the sun is low, the Brooklyn Bridge when the wind isn't too brutal. I work alone, sometimes with one assistant, and I keep the day moving. Most of my couples live here or have a real connection to the city, and they want photographs that look like the day actually felt, not a stock version of a wedding. I shoot digital and medium format film. I've been doing this for over a decade, and I still like it.

I photograph weddings in New York City, mostly on foot with a camera bag I have carried across more park paths than I can count. I started shooting couples in Brooklyn in 2016 and have since worked in ballrooms in Midtown, on the Bow Bridge in Central Park, and on rooftops from Long Island City to the Lower East Side. I like the city's strange mix of quiet streets and loud corners, and I try to make pictures that feel honest about both. I keep my groups small, work mostly in available light, and edit every frame myself. I live in Park Slope with my partner and a cat who has strong opinions about breakfast.
